If someone has left bulky items outside on the road or on the estate with no intention of removing it then they are fly-tipping.  Fly-tipping is illegal.

Our cleaning and gardening contractors are responsible for taking away bulk waste from our schemes and estates. This is a service residents pay for in their service charge so it’s in everyone’s interests to reduce costs and to report illegal fly-tipping. This does not replace your general waste collection by your local authority.

If you have large unwanted items you need removing from your home, such as household appliances or furniture, please contact your local authority to find out what removal services they have for residents.  In some areas these services are free; in others the local authority charges a small fee. Please check your local authority website for details.

On larger estates where we know we regularly need to collect bulk waste, we ask our supplier to make regular weekly collections at peak times, e.g. after the weekend. For smaller estates and schemes, we will place an order with our contractor to collect them on their next scheduled visit.

If you think there is a health and safety risk e.g. a fridge with the door still attached or a large item in danger of falling, please let us know by calling us on 0300 373 3000.

Any residents found responsible for leaving bulk rubbish will be issued a Fixed Penalty Notice in conjunction with the Local Authority.
